Faith in Action
What?
FIA is a program specifically designed for students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. It is a safe place where kids can talk honestly about the issues they face and interact with leaders and other students in a positive and encouraging environment.
When?
We meet Sunday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. September through May.
How?
A typical evening consists of contemporary Christian worship, Bible study and discussion on a variety of relevant topics, group prayer time, a light snack, and some fun group games.
To keep things fresh, we also mix in some movie nights, group outings (the corn maze, Christmas caroling, etc.), and service events.
Why?
The goal of FIA is to cultivate the faith of our middle schoolers and equip them to live out that faith in their everyday lives -- "Faith in Action.” One important way we can serve God and exercise our faith is by simply serving others. In FIA, we work together to help identify and meet the needs of the people around us, both within the church and our local community. There are many needs, and middle schoolers have so much to offer!
We hope you will join us as, together, we discover how joyful and fulfilling a life of service to God and others can be.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” – Colossians 3:24-25
